GOD, whose my only STRENGTH!

(last July 24, and this day (Aug. 8,2010), my 2 households had started their first household..)

this day, we had our kasangga retreat at mandaluyong..
i've learn a lot..
but there is one great thing that really struck me,

"that I'm called and chosen by GOD to be His leader..
He trust me these responsibilities..
no matter how sinful i am..

the more you have the fire in serving,
the more you tempted..

but I know that there is GOD, whose my only strength..^_^"

after the retreat, i went at the household of my lower.
it was fun.
we've talked a lot of things.
we easily get comfortable with each other.
we've got a lot of fun and laughs..

i was really amazed and affirmed again today how great is our GOD.

I do not need necessarily having a BIG EVENT just to feel God's amazing power and love..
everyday is an evidence of How great is Him..^_^

Hose of our victory

This just happened yesterday(Aug. 4 2010).

The storm "Domeng" passed through our place when a water pipe broke in our bathroom. Actually, I do not know if there is any connection between the storm and the breakage of the water pipe.

When the water pipe broke, Me and my mom hurriedly went to the bathroom to check it. We were both in panic and worried that the house will be flooded. So, together with my mom and lolo, we think and do various of solutions to avoid flooding inside the house. Until we came up to a solution of a "hose technique" where an old hose was used to connect to the broken water pipe and the other end was outside the house. It was a good idea yet there are still complications. There are a lot of holes in the hose!which causes water leaks in the sala. Then, we continue to mend it until we successfully solved the problem.

Everyday we all have different kinds of burdens, hardships and sufferings. We think, plan or formulate solutions to these difficulties. But not all our bright ideas would solve our problems yet we shouldn't stop there. That failure to mend our problems must serve as motivations to think for a greater or even the best ideas.

As youths that REACH OUT CHRIST TO KIDS, we should not stop if situations that happen around us doesn't seem right or keep us from growing in our service. we cannot avoid encountering different issues and other matters. I leaerned from those encounters that we should be OPTIMISTIC and GOAL ORIENTED persons. We should CLAIM our victory.

As a team, we cannot face these hardships only by ourselves. We must help one another, be sensitive with one another. Also, we cannot just decide carelessly because for every action there is a corresponding reaction. We have to ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Lastly, when we think of our solutions to our problems let us claim the success of solving it and never doubt the power of our prayers. Let us have the FAITH..having FAITH is BELIEVING AND OBEYING GOD EVEN HAVING LOTS OF QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS.

" We have to open our minds, think positive, for God, nothing is impossible."

Late night experience

Yesterday, (Aug. 2 2010) I attended a service meeting at mandaluyong. It was with the sector leaders. It started and ended late at night. My impression and experience during that meeting would be an another story. The one I'll be telling you will be my experience after that night.

I was so nervous what would my parents be telling me when I arrive home. So, I was thinking what to reason out and how to argue and defend myself. Then, I arrived home at 1:30am. I have not heard a single word from them. I got a lot more nervous. Things run through my head again like they would ignore me and make me suffer for a long time because of what happened..etc.. When I woke up, They are ignoring me! I was in tears that morning. I don't know how to admit that it was really my fault and how to tell them how sorry I am because I still have this pride in me.

Then I reflected. It came to my mind that maybe it is God's works that I haven't heard a word from my parents so I won't have to argue, answer back and reason out. I realized that I'm so wrong. I should have said sorry at the first place. I was also wrong in thinking badly about my parents. So, In return to God's wonderful works on me, I do good things even greater things to my parents and other people. I practice not to answer back or reason out. I am now trying my best to be humble in every ways.

As servants of God, we have to learn how to be humble. we will feel enlighten if we don't feel overconfident in things we do. Let us put in mind that what we are doing in the community is for the greater glory of our God.

" WE SERVE GOD NOT OURSELVES, SO LET'S PRACTICE THE VALUES OF HUMILITY"

It was 1st day of August 2010, when we had our MC Gathering at Layforce (it held every 1st Sunday of the month).

I’ve always invited at the torch but I can’t go at their session because I’m handling the MC kids.

There were only two of us (Diane), who handle the MC kids that day. But we were guided by the FTW that were there. I handle the junior ones (nanaman!.. hehe.. You’ll take time to get the attention of the junior, promise) and Diane at the senior.

There were only half of them listening to what I said and the others were running around.. haha.

But after I gave the story and activity, I went playing with them. Whew!,

After the MCG, ate Michelle told me that her son, Sev Phillip (weeeeeee), was praying for me everyday..^_^

I’d never expected that but when I hear it, it really touches my heart. I feel that kid was my angel. ^_^

I’d never expecting things in return while I’m serving KFC, I know that God gave those angels to be my price. ^_^

THANK YOU GOD

I LOVE YOU..^_^

Yesterday(July 29, 2010) on my way home from school,..

I was really on a hurry to go home that time to avoid getting wet by the rain. Because of that I risk riding on a "siksiksan" type of jeepney. I was barely sitting. I was in between two "manongs". I was first annoyed by the thought of those "manongs" are not even gentleman enough to offer enough space for me, seeing I'm a girl. Then later I ignored the thought. Then I was annoyed again because of the barker who keeps on calling and letting people ride the jeepney. That scenario beats the provincial type of riding a jeepney. I was frowning already that time. I was thinking of something good out of that very hot and irritating situation until the man sitting on my left fell asleep. He was almost leaning on me and I don't feel comfortable with that so I was really pissed off despite the fact that I know the feeling of being tired and getting into a sleep while riding a public vehicle(I experienced that also). I was thinking of what to do to him that would scare him and would make him conscious about getting even an inch nearer to me. Lots of things came into my mind. Unimaginable things to do:) Then I stopped thinking about the things I would do to that very irritating and inconsiderable "manong". Know why?

I remember God. It came to my mind, what if God is in my place? would he punish those who disrespect Him? Would He banish those who ignores His feelings? those who keep their eyes close to Him?

God answered me. I know he will be PATIENT in that situation. I was affirmed of His great patience to mankind and I think that throughout that ride in the jeepney He was guiding and teaching me to be patient. bacause I was just tempted to say and do bad things still I didn't. Now that annoying feeling I have when I set foot on the jeepney turned into an affirmation on my stepping down from it. I had a smile. Can you imagine someone with that annoying experience ending up with a smile? only those who see Christ in every situation they are in ends up blessed, bad or good the experience be.

Bros and Sis, we can seek good learnings out of undesired situations..
"OUR EXPERIENCES ARE OUR TRAINING FOR OUR SERVICE AND OUR GROWTH THROUGH OUR GOOD REALIZATIONS OUT OF IT"

Worth of Sacrifice

Being a province facilitator at the same time being a mission volunteer is not an easy task. :)

there are so many things that i need to sacrifice.
i indeed sacrifice the LIFE that i would really want.
i sacrificed my LOVE-LIFE and some things that i desire just like any other teenagers. :)

in this mission that GOD has given me,
I left my old friends or BARKADAS in the service for me to GROW and LEARN more about the service.
Leaving them is worth for it,
i met a lot of new people and learned many things about life.
I actually didn’t leave them totally; i just give myself the chance to meet new people, without them and learned to become independent.

i had traveled a lot around my province, as i welcome new people and learned about the things that needed to be improved, i came close to our mission-vision, BRINGING THE KIDS TO THE LORD AND BUILDING A BRIGHT NEW WORLD.

I learned to TRUST and GIVE OTHER FACILITATORS the chance to grow in the service.
Now that they learned, it made my service lighter for I have company in the areas of my service.

NORTH CENTRAL and SOUTH areas of CEBU now had really grown and a lot of improvement to the facilitators of each area.
They can now stand on their own and conduct activities without my presence as long as they updated me with the activity.

Indeed God is so great; HE made me TRAVEL to different provinces in our region and to other regions just to let the facilitators realize how great our work here is in Kids for Christ.

In this SERVICE with my GOD to the KIDS FOR CHRIST, i am now what i am.
FACING EVERYDAY as A PART OF GOD'S GREAT PLAN to MY LIFE and
I BELIEVE THAT HE WILL NEVER LET HIS CHILDREN BE IN PAIN. :)

I OFFER EVERYTHING TO HIM.
GOD MADE ME STRONGER THAN BEFORE,
HE MADE ME LOVE HIM MORE,
HE MADE ME INSPIRE MORE FACILITATORS FOR THE WORK HE HAS GIVEN TO US, and I BELIEVE that GOD WILL TRULY BLESS THE YFC's WHO ARE WORKING AND SERVING HIS CHILDREN.
♥♥♥'

"let the CHILDREN COME TO ME; DO NOT PREVENT THEM, FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD BELONGS TO THEM. ‘MARK 10:14

LETS CONTINUE TO R.O.C.K ON PROVINCE FACILITATORS.

YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED!
WE HAVE A BIG SPACE IN GOD'S HEART. :)

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD IS LIMITLESS

072410 9:50pm

This was quoted from the mass celebrant at the UST College of Commerce Freshmen Recollection. This line hit me to the bones. It made me realize “Oo nga noh. Di rin pala maganda yung yes ka lang ng yes.” You also need to identify which is really important. We need to pray before we make a decision. Weigh both sides first. =) Anything that’s too much is not good.

Currently, I am the sector ate of MM West B. Also the next sector ate for my sector, MM West A, and serving in YCOM & TORCH. I also serve in YFC-UST and of course a college student and a daughter. =) I always struggle in balancing my time and schedule. Yes, I’m bibo kid. Hahaha! =D Aside from these, I’m turning 18 on December and of course I’m also making my preparations for this big day. =) Busy, isn’t it?

When I was in High School, my friends always get disappointed of me when it comes to gimmicking. It always conflicts a meeting or household or an event in YFC. They always say “ Ano ba yan! YFC na naman! ” I must admit I really had few gimmicks with my friends because aside from my parents won’t allow me, it conflicts with my schedule. =( Until now they still say “Hay nako forever ka naming busy eh. Kelan ka ba magiging free?”

I don’t know what it got in me, but I feel so unsatisfied whenever I do not attend any YFC/KFC activity every week. Life’s boring without households meetings and conferences. =) It just came across my mind that these meetings and all are already my gimmicks. Isn’t it so much cool to here that you are going home so late because of YFC stuffs rather than going home late from a party? =D I already grew up in this community. I was a member of KFC at five. In short, I’m in this community for almost 12 years! =)) And I do not regret every single day that I am serving the Lord through this community. And I’ll forever be grateful. <3

I think I just need to limit myself. If it’s really none of my business, then I should stay home and make time for myself and tell “Gel, wag masyadong bibo! Hahaha. =))” For that, may God be praised!

10:20pm

2010 IS GEL’S YEAR. =))

So many events and people came to my life this year. I gained a lot of friends. =) I’m just so happy that I’m loving more and more people and I know that they feel the same way too <3.

I just graduated from High School and currently taking up Business Administration at the University of Santo Tomas. My summer started with a mission. We went to Masbate to conduct a Family TIES Camp. I was with my parents, other KFC Coordinators another YFC and a KFC full-time pastoral worker. We experienced all forms of transportation to reach just one destination! We went to Legazpi by plane then rode a van to Pilar then reached Masbate by boat. I gained new friends and built relationships with the people there. =) Next was the ILC in Baguio. I was part of the Documentation team and was part of the service team in the ROCK Workshop. That’s when the RDC or ROCK Dance Company was born.

During the ILC, we were surprised when we heard Kuya Ian’s announcement that we’ll be having a one week mission in Albay one day after the ILC ends. Doubts and fears came into me. Will I survive there? This would be my first mission without my parents, if ever. And the ILC just ended and I’m tired, can I still do it? At first, my dad didn’t want me to join the mission because we just had one a month ago. But the Lord just made a way for me to experience His great love, I joined the mission. =D

The day came. We were fourteen in the group, all from different sectors and two were KFC full-time pastoral workers. Everything’s set but we almost cancelled this mission because of insufficient funds. But then again, God won’t allow us now to continue this mission. And so we still went on even if there’s no assurance of going home complete.

We were divided into three groups, each having their own tasks. After all the love works, of course, we celebrated! =) We went swimming, eat together at Embarcadero and toured around the province. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to join the tour because i need to go CamSur to meet my family so I can give up my slot to someone else so the team can go home complete. =)

Next was the Luzon Kids Village. =) I was part of the animators and emcee-ed in one of the competitions. =) I feel so honoured to be part of the production team of the Luzon Kids Village. It feels so awesome to dance for the Lord in front of His beloved kids. =D and the stage was so beautiful, very forest-y. Haha! =)) I gained new friends again, mostly from Laguna and other people in the production team. Being an animator is dream come true. When I was in IKV Laguna, I said to my mom “ Mama, pangarap ko sumayaw sa IKV!” And ate Zee grant my dream with a bonus, she made me as one of her emcees in one of the competitions. =D God’s so great! As always, after the Kids’ Village are the Kids camps. I’m happy to say that West A is growing in numbers. =))

Next was the CFC 28th Anniversary. I was again tapped to be part of the production team. =D Together with some KFC full-time workers and other YFCs, we created the World Changers dance which was launched at the Anniversary. We danced for the Lord with the Laguna dancers and some KFC members. =D

Next were the LiveLoud Concert 2010 and the Campus Fresh ‘N Passion Party. It was my first time to attend these events. =) The LiveLoud was so awesome. A lot of people attended the concert. We can hardly walk across due to a very huge crowd. I learned new songs to praise our Lord. =) The Fresh Party was also fun. Only in this community you can experience clean parties with so much fun. =))

Next was our Sector Kasangga, reinvented! We made an amazing race to help the leaders reflect on what is really needed to lead and serve the Lord. =)

Next was the SectorCon Planning. We planned at Linden Suites. =) It’s nice having a fun bonding with the West A Core Group. Everyone was so excited to share their ideas and visions for the event. I’m really excited to be part of our all-new SectorCon. It’s Showtime! =))

Lastly, I attended the General Assembly at UST. The Presentations was overly awesome. =)) Plus, I learned a lot from Kuya Tutch’s pep talk. =) “Serve out of love.”

I can proudly say that God really loves me so much that He made me experience all of these. It’s just the 7th month of the year and the Lord has flooded me with His blessings. Truly, I can say that God is so great. I know that He will never stop making me happy and blessed. There’s more to come. I love you Lord. Thank you so much! =))

I'm so Grateful

Hi ROCKers..I want to share to you this wonderful lyrics of the song Grateful..

You've given me this brand new day.,

to serve and follow you..

You took my tears

and made me smile..

You lifted me up!

You gave me all the reason Lord

to see things as gift from You

And I'll go out and testify

and shout to the world!

I will lift your name on high

(I) forever worship you

and(I)will serve you, with all of my heart

I'll forever be grateful..

when trouble comes my way

you are there to stay

and everything will be alright.

Now (I) know its true

that this love is You

and (I)will leave each day..

I was touched and affirmed by the song..

nowadays I was bothered and stressed by things going on in my life but this song made me GRATEFUL for every brand new day God has given me.

through this song God really spoke to me.

It made me realize that whatever hardship i will encounter I will always have my God.

Because I'm grateful, I will lift His name on high, I will forever worship Him,I will serve Him with all of my heart..

So bros. and sis. let nothing hinder us from ROCKin' the WORLD!:)

GODBLESS!
